Apple Watch Series 8 is said to be announced at Apple’s ‘Far Out’ event. Held on Wednesday, September 7 at 10am, the broadcast will be hosted by Apple CEO Tim Cook at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
As all of its recent new product announcements have been at similar events, always around September, it’s thought that this one will also feature a slew of new launches, including AirPods Pro 2, iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8.

While we’ll be updating this story if and when the Apple Watch Series 8 does drop, in the meantime, here’s everything we know about the new Apple watch, rumour-wise.
Apple Watch Series 8 Features
It’s thought that the design of the new watch won’t be too different to Apple Watch Series 7. In addition to its regular model, though, Pro and SE versions are said to be released.
Reliable Apple insider Mark Gurman predicts the pro model will be for sportier consumers, and will have a larger display, rugged titanium case, new fitness tracking features and longer battery life. For the price-conscious, an Apple Watch SE will also be debuted, Gurman noted.
Unsurprisingly, the Apple Watch Series 8 will feature a slew of new features, including bdy temperature detection. According to Gurman, the “body-temperature feature won’t give you a specific reading — like with a forehead or wrist thermometer — but it should be able to tell if it believes you have a fever”.
Apple Watch Series 8 Release Date
The iPhone 14, also rumoured to be announced at the event, is said to be available for pre-order Friday, September 9 and then going on sale Friday, September 16, so it would make sense that the Apple Watch Series 8 would follow this pattern.
Apple Watch Series 8 Price
No solid rumours on the price of the Apple Watch Series 8, but experts online are guessing Apple won’t play too much with the current Apple Watch Series 7 price.
