MasterChef Australia has officially crowned Justin Narayan as its 2021 winner! Taking home the title, and the $250,000 prize money, it was Narayan that won the judges over, beating out Kishwar Chowdhury and Pete Campbell for the win.

Although we say this every year, it’s really been one of the best seasons of MasterChef Australia to date, as our talented chefs plated up some of the most mouth-watering and exquisite dishes we’ve ever seen.

Of course, it wouldn’t be reality TV without some twists along the way, and with tons of talented international chefs and Second Chance week, we were on the edge of our seats all season long.

This year, we had special appearances from Nigella LawsonYotam OttolenghiMassimo Bottura and Heston Blumenthal, along with beloved local heroes Emelia JacksonReynold Poernomo, Poh Ling Yeow and Callum Hann.

With this season of MasterChef Australia all wrapped up, we’re turning our attention toward the future: Celebrity MasterChef. What can we say?! We can’t get enough!

The series will see radio host and TV presenter Chrissie Swan, pop star Dami Im, Olympian Ian Thorpe, fashion designer Collette Dinnigan, stand-up comedian and actor Dilruk Jayasinha, actress Rebecca Gibney, actor Matt Le Nevez, football stars Nick Riewoldt and Archie Thompson, and Gordon Ramsey’s daughter Matilda Ramsey go head-to-head for the win, and we can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

They’ll be trying to impress judges Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo and prove themselves to be the celeb most skilled in the kitchen. Recently, Chrissie Swan had a chat with NOVA’s Fitzy and Wippa, and she dished up some juicy details for us to feast on while we wait for the show to premiere.

“As expected, Thorpie is quite competitive,” Chrissie said, “and Collette is an artist in the kitchen. As you can imagine, the plating up is like to put it down the catwalk!” Still, we shouldn’t assume we know how it’s all going to play out based on the cast’s public personas.

“The great thing about the cast is that they’re all dark horses because you don’t know what goes on behind closed kitchen doors,” she explained, adding, “there’s plenty of surprises!”

We truly cannot wait!
