The Bachelorette’s Shannon Karaka Was Mr Polynesia Australia

The Bachelorette

Former Mr Polynesia Australia Shannon Karaka always looks on the bright side of life.

The 30-year-old from NSW, who originally hails from New Zealand, is looking for love on Elly and Becky Miles’ season of The Bachelorette and is a rumoured front runner.

Karaka was raised in a strict Christian household and was taught that a “meaningful relationship requires patience, compromise and selflessness.”

One of six brothers, he’s pretty easy going and is looking for a supportive, affectionate woman to be his partner through life.

Not only does he work in sales, but the proud Polynesian also started a Hawaiin shirt company called Get Happy Co— a company that supports mental health through clothing.

He’s also dabbled as a body double and doing extras work and even appeared in the Lakalaka video clip in 2017. And, like all good Bachelorette boys, he also appeared as a River Boy in Home and Away.

When looking for love, Karaka says that he’ll notice a woman’s physical attributes such as hair, eyes and smile first. She also needs to be family-oriented, affectionate, loving and supportive.

A bit of a softie at heart, his most embarrassing habit is his love of singing shows. We’re hoping for his sake that he’ll love reality dating shows just as much because he could walk away having met the love of his life.

If he doesn’t, then we’re sure to see him and his Hawaiin shirts make an appearance in Paradise.
