If Pete Mann wins either Elly or Becky Miles over on The Bachelorette Australia 2020, he’ll already know what it’s like to have a relationship in the spotlight.
Mann is the former husband of Adelaide Network Ten weather presenter, Kate Freebairn, and is set to head into the mansion. According to AdelaideNow, the pair married in 2012, however, separated when life took them in “different directions”. In fact, in an interview with The Advertiser in 2019, Mann said that the couple’s work had kept them a bit like “passing ships in the night”.
While we’ve learned he was married in the past (and only broke up less than a year ago), we also know that he is the owner of Octeine Coffee, a café in Adelaide’s Kent Town and another hole-in-the-wall style shop on Grenfell Street. According to the outlet, Mann has plans to open another in the Barossa Valley.
The name, Octeine, is a blend of “octane” fuel and “caffeine” — and according to the same interview with The Advertiser, the brand is “about motivating people to get outside and enjoy life a little bit. Coffee often goes hand-in-hand with getting out and adventuring.”
Before becoming a business owner, Mann was a geography teacher. Not much else is know about him as yet, although, he is followed by MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo and Back to Win contestant, Callum Hann.
The coffee shop owner was spotted climbing the Harbour Bridge on a single date with Becky while filming, so we’re betting he goes pretty far.
