Who is Elly Miles — The Australian Sweetheart Looking for Love on The Bachelorette

Elly Miles

Elly Miles became Australia’s reality TV sweetheart when she appeared on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor in 2019.

The bubbly nurse from Parkes in NSW melted both our hearts and Agnew’s until she was sent home after making it to the final five.

After Elly left the mansion, fans called for her to be named the next Bachelorette and it seems that Warner Bros. has listened.

Now, the 25-year-old is set to find love on the sixth season of  The Bachelorette — and in an Australian first — alongside her sister, Becky.

“I crave a life filled with happiness, adventure and good times,” Elly said in the announcement. “I’m looking for my best mate to share those memories with.”

“I feel extremely blessed to be on this unique ride with Becky. Having her love, support and guidance throughout this journey is so important to me and I can’t wait to be there for her, on her journey to find love as well.”

Before her appearance on the 2019 season, Elly described herself as “enthusiastic, adventurous, happy, outgoing and loyal” and admitted that she was ready to “take a bit of a chance”.

While she’s always seen smiling, her Bachelor journey didn’t go quite to plan.

Winning over Agnew instantaneously, Elly showed her true country roots by organising marshmallows toasting on a fire. She then won the first date of the season — 24 hours in Agnew’s hometown of Melbourne where they hung out at Flemington racecourse.

From then on, it was clear that the astrophysicist was smitten with young Elly — that’s why, after an argument with polarising character, Abbie Chatfield, she was left seriously “confused” after being sent home. Australia’s Bachelor fans hearts collectively broke.

Since the show aired, Elly has become an ambassador for Airlocker Training, spruiks some clothing brands and before the global pandemic, was often seen travelling the world.

Now, she’s looking for a love that she can call her own.

Here’s to Elly and fingers crossed she finds the love she’s looking for.
