Jimmy and Tam are joining The Block from sunny Brisbane and are ready to bowl over the competition to create a better life for them and their young daughter, Frankie, four.
What Tam lacks in experience, Jimmy has in spades — working has a Plumber managing large plumbing jobs. But together, they’ve got a lot of grit and determination.
Jimmy,33, has had a bit of experience in large scale renovations, helping his mate renovate a gym back home. He was previously a cross-fit gym coach, which is where he met his wife, Tam.
Tam is a bar manager at the local bowlo club, where the pair got married. She also grew up there as her mum is a “star player” and it was her first place of employment.
The 31-year-old is also a self-confessed “op-shopaholic” and has a unique sense of style which she has brought along with her to Brighton.
The pair are extremely hard workers and work around the clock to make ends meet for their young family, meaning they often work opposite schedules.
“We are doing this for Frankie. We want to try and win to set our family up,” Jimmy said in their introduction interview.
If they win, the couple plans to enter the property market themselves by buying a place to turn their lives around.
Currently, Jimmy and Tam are renovating a caravan and Jimmy once used his skills to turn a 1926 Chevrolet into a beer truck.
Jimmy is also a supporter of the mental health organisation TradeMutt, which is helping to make the mental health of tradies a priority.
