Secure your seatbelts and put up your tray tables, because The Bachelor Australia 2021 is about to take flight. It’s felt like a lifetime since our 2020 Bachie Locky Gilbert embarked on his journey to love, and we’re hoping 31-year-old airline pilot Jimmy Nicholson has as much luck in the love department this time around.
We’ve missed the extravagant dates, the rose ceremonies, and the romance. Of course, it wouldn’t be a season of The Bachelor without a little turbulence along the way, and we’re excited to see how it all plays out.
Who’s there for all the right reasons? Who’s there to get those spon con deals? Only time will tell. At the time of his announcement, he said that he was “a big believer in embracing any opportunity that presents itself, especially if it has the potential to change your life for the better”. Love that for him!
“The journey ahead will be one of the most challenging experiences that I have ever undertaken, however, I am very excited to meet someone that I could potentially spend the rest of my life with,” he continued.
So what’s Jimmy all about?
After some “totally for the purposes of work” digging around his Instagram (which is, thankfully, now public), we learned that Jimmy loves dogs, surfing, boating, hiking, footy and leaving his shirt at home his family.
Today, finally, at long last, Network 10 has dropped the premiere date for the new season, so we can finally start planning our Bachie viewing parties (lockdown permitting).
The Bachelor Australia will premiere Wednesday, 21 July at 7.30pm on Network 10 and 10 Play, so mark your calendars, and be sure to get to the couch at least 30 minutes prior to boarding, because love is (hopefully!) in the air!
