A Complete Guide to When ‘The Bachelor Australia’ Is on for Your Viewing Pleasure

It’s the most magical time of the year. No, not Christmas, Bachelor season.

Love is well and truly in the air as we buckle up and prepare to join airline pilot Jimmy Nicholson on his journey to true love. Put up your tray tables! It’s all happening!

“I am a big believer in embracing any opportunity that presents itself, especially if it has the potential to change your life for the better,” Jimmy said in a statement.

“The journey ahead will be one of the most challenging experiences that I have ever undertaken, however, I am very excited to meet someone that I could potentially spend the rest of my life with.”

In the trailer for the upcoming season, Jimmy confesses to being quite methodical and loving a good checklist when it comes to work (which is a relief to hear seeing as he’s a pilot!) but, as he says, “when it comes to love — there’s no manual.”

“I’ve been on my personal journey that I needed before I could settle down with someone, and I was ready to meet someone,” Jimmy told POPSUGAR Australia. “I think the timing when I was first approached to do The Bachelor, was almost perfect for me because I’d had that time last year off work. It made me really think about what I wanted out of life and relationships.”

While Jimmy doesn’t believe in love at first sight, he did spill a few deets about the first night and how it all worked out.

“On the first night, I had a few of those moments where I’m like, ‘Okay, this is cool. I’m happy I’m here’,” he said. “And the important thing is that now I’m with someone who I’m really happy with and it’s worked out really well for me, so it couldn’t have gone better.”

A family man, Jimmy said in the trailer that he’s “got a really close family” and wanted a love like his parents.

“My parents are madly in love, and that is exactly what I want,” he said. “I want someone who I would be proud to bring home to my family — their opinion means everything to me.”

We can’t wait to see how it all plays out!

The Bachelor Australia will premiere on Wednesday, July 21 at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play on-demand. From there, it will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm each week.
