Clean Freaks Will Froth Over This New Mopping/Steaming/Vacuuming Device

MACH v1 Ultra

Australia has cordless vacuums, and it has steam mops. But up until now, it didn’t have any devices that did both — until the launch of MACH devices on March 31, 2023, that is.

The smart appliances brand by eufy Clean has launched two new products in Australia, both designed to take your home-cleaning to a new level: the MACH V1 Ultra will set you back $1,499, while its sibling, the MACH V1, is priced at $1,199.

The flagship device, MACH V1 Ultra, is the first-ever cordless stick vacuum with steam-mopping capabilities that work on stubborn mess by first dissolving the stain and then vacuuming and mopping the surface.

It continually releases steam at a high temperature (110℃) in order to remove dirt and bacteria. Helpfully, the device is equipped with an overheat protection that pauses steam delivery whenever the vacuum is lifted off the group, which prevents it from overheating.

The device also has an 82-minute runtime from a single charge (for comparison, most Dyson cordless vacuums have up to 60 minutes), a feature that emits air to dry the floor as you mop to prevent risk of slipping, and a built-in generator that precisely proportions and mixes the cleaning solution with water.

It’s easy-to-use, with its lightweight design and an LCD display on its handle. And you won’t need to do much to maintain it either — its three-fold, self-cleaning system allows it to clean, disinfect and dry its rolling brush, tube and vacuum body all at the same time with the press of a button.

Though it’s equipped with a whopping 16,800Pa suction power, it still only makes the same level of sound as a dishwasher, as it’s equipped with three-layered, noise-cancelling technology that ensures its levels stay below 65dB.

“MACH represents a new standard of innovation for the eufy brand, and we’re launching into the Australian market in a big way, showcasing what the future of cleaning looks like,” says Gaspar Xie, General Manager of Anker Innovations ANZ. “The V1 Series sets a new benchmark for vacuuming, and the world-first technology of the V1 Ultra is the epitome of the MACH brand, and just the beginning of what’s to come.”

Xie said more MACH products will be rolled out in the coming months. As part of its launch in Australia, MACH is offering consumers the chance to trial the two products during a free night’s stay at a $20-million mansion in Sydney’s Tamarama.
