“This is what rich entitled do when threatened…they conceal ugly truths to protect themselves…and they think they can get away with it.”
Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant have joined forces for a brand new thriller, The Undoing.
Created by Oscar and Golden Globe-winning directed Susan Bier and Big Little Lies creator David E. Kelley, the series is based on the book You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz.
The story focuses on a successful therapist, Grace Fraser (Kidman), along with her husband, Jonathan (Grant), and their young son (Noah Jupe), who attends an elite private school in New York City.
A chasm opens in her seemingly perfect life: a violent death, a missing spouse and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster, and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.
The psychological thriller will be played out in a chilling six-part series, which will debut on Binge on October 26.
Joining Kidman and Grant in the cast is Edgar Ramirez (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Ismael Cruz Cordova (Mary Queen of Scots), Matilda De Angelis (Il Premio), Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), Noma Dumezweni (Mary Poppins Returns), and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games, Pride & Prejudice) as Grace’s protective father.
