Well Well Well, It’s Time to Meet ‘The Traitors’ of 2023

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast.

Folks, get ready, because Season 2 of The Traitors Australia is just around the corner. Network 10 have revealed The Traitors 2023 cast, and there are some familiar faces in the group this year.

Originally based on the Dutch series De Verraders, Australia was one of the first countries to adapt The Traitors for its own audience. Since then, the reality competition has blown up. The UK and US franchises premiered after Australia, and quickly, The Traitors has become the hot new show on social media.

Now, The Traitors Australia is back for 2023, and Rodger Corser is back to host the devious game of cat and mouse.

If you haven’t seen The Traitors before, it’s kind of like a real-life game of Cluedo, mixed with the vibes of Knives Out. The show takes place in an old hotel and the contestants compete in challenges to win bars of silver.

The contestants are split into two groups — Faithfuls, and Traitors. But of course, the Faithfuls have no idea who the Traitors are. It’s the Traitors’ job to go undetected, murdering the Faithfuls in the night as they go.

If a Traitor makes it to the end, they’ll win up to $250,000 in silver all to themselves. If a Faithful makes it to the end, they’ll be presented with a choice: either split the prize with their other Faithful, or keep it all for themselves. Without further ado, let’s meet the contestants who make up The Traitors Australia 2023 cast.

Meet The Traitors Australia 2023 Cast

Anjelica — Lawyer, New South Wales (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 Cast, Anjelica
Network Ten

“I’m the brunette version of Elle Woods,” Anjelica declares in a press statement ahead of her Traitors Australia debut.

Anjelica lives her life as a corporate lawyer by day, but competes in beauty pageants in her free time, often representing Australia as a nation. Currently, Anjelica holds the title of Miss International Australia.

A queen of duality, Anjelica loves the rush of both jobs equally.

“I very much love the adrenaline you get when you step foot into that courtroom,” she says. “It’s like a stage room so as soon as I walk in, it’s game face and performance. And you don’t finish that performance until the judge stamps that gavel!”

At work, Anjelica’s colleagues have two nicknames for her. The first is the “Smiling Assassin” for her courtroom demeanour, and the second is “The Rainmaker”, for her ability to win cases and bring in the money.

Going into The Traitors Australia, Anjelica hopes these characteristics will help her navigate her way to the end, taking people out as necessary and bringing in the silver.

Should she be successful and take home the win, she plans to give the prize money to her mother.

Annabel — Customer Success Manager, Victoria (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 Cast, Annabel
Network Ten

“I’m like a chihuahua,” Annabel says. “You hear me before you see me but also, if you mess with me, I’ll bite your face off.”

While her perfect manicure, butterfly clips and Y2K aesthetic might give off Baby Spice vibes, it’s clear that Annabel is here to play the game on The Traitors Australia 2023.

Annabel is a longtime Australian Survivor fan and lover of games, and now, she’s ready to make her mark on The Traitors.

“I was born for The Traitors,” Annabel says.

In the game, Annabel will be relying on her social skills to help her through the game. While she admits that the missions may not be her strongest suit, Annabel believes she has a keen eye when it comes to reading people, and she hopes that will help her make it to the end.

But while she’s keen for all the lies, mind games and challenges the show has to offer, Annabel has another motive driving her to win The Traitors — her toy poodle, Puffy Fluffykins.

“Last year I suffered a devastating loss,” she says. “Puffy Fluffykins developed a taste for exquisite fabrics and destroyed my entire cashmere sweater collection. The prize money will go a long way in repairing the broken trust, and perhaps even providing Puffs with some cashmere sweaters of his own.”

Ash — Reality Star, Victoria (Traitor)

The Traitors Australia 2023 Cast Ash Pollard
Network Ten

Ash first burst onto our screens back in 2015, when she competed on My Kitchen Rules alongside her cooking partner, Camilla.

Since then, Ash has been a staple of Australian reality television. She’s competed on Dancing With the Stars and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, and she’s never afraid to call it like she sees it. Her fierce, outspoken personality made her a perfect fit for radio, and over the years, she’s hosted cooking segments, as well as Sea FM’s breakfast radio show with Daniel Gawned.

Ash is also a mother of two young daughters, Clementine and Claudette, who she shares with partner Peter Ferne.

While Ash was hesitant to leave her family behind, she has her eyes on the prize and she’s ready to do what it takes to make it to the end.

“It’s so cliché but I could not live without them,” Ash says. “I would literally die for them. The decision to do this was tough but for a chance at that prize money, that will cover nappies and wipes until forever!”

Ash is inquisitive by nature and knows when to be calculated, and believes this will come in handy on The Traitors. On the other hand? She hates liars.

“I despise lying as a general rule,” she says. “I think it’s pathetic. White lies I feel are okay. You know, white lies you tell your kids, white lies if you’re trying to set up a surprise party…”

But what about on The Traitors? Ash says she “can understand” it, and adds: “I think I may be doing a lot of that and I’m okay with that. I will do whatever it takes to win. If that means lie every single day, then I’ll do it.”

Blake — Beer Sales Manager, Victoria (Traitor)

The Traitors Australia 2023 Cast, Blake
Network Ten

“I think my cheeky, double-dimpled smile and witty repartee has got me here and hopefully I can strategise and play the game to the fullest that gets me to the end,” Blake says.

In his everyday life, Blake works as a beer salesman in Victoria, and loves playing board games in his spare time. Now, he’s hoping that his sales skills, board game strategy and happy-go-lucky personality will work for him on The Traitors Australia.

On The Traitors, Blake hopes to dominate the challenges, play a strong social game and put his problem solving skills to the test. He’s also looking forward to donning the iconic Traitors tracksuit.

But of course, competing on The Traitors is about more than the fashion and challenges. Blake is hoping to win the $250k prize so that he can look after his mother, who has Huntington’s Disease.

“In the past, my Mum would enjoy coming along to live stand up shows that I’d be a part of and I know being on this would be something she’d enjoy watching,” he says, adding: “I’d love to make her proud.”

Camille — Former Federal Agent, ACT (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 Cast, Camille
Network Ten

For over 17 years, Camille worked as a Federal agent. She worked on cases that involved drug smuggling, fraud, money laundering, human trafficking, and personal protection, and yes, she’s expecting the skills she gained along the way to come in handy during her time on The Traitors Australia.

But is she planning on telling her fellow contestants about her extensive résumé? Absolutely not.

Rather, Camille is planning on telling everyone that she is a Japanese tour guide. Technically, it’s not a lie — she was a tour guide, and she does speak Japanese fluently, but she’s hoping the lie will throw her fellow contestants off her trail. In the meantime, she’ll be using all her undercover skills to sniff out the Traitors hiding in plain sight.

After retiring from her career as a federal agent, Camille is now a stay-at-home mum.

“My life now looks like a busy mum of three kids, school lunches, pick-ups, drop offs, walking the dog, picking up dog poo,” she says.

She’s hoping that the combination of her two lives will be the perfect recipe for success on The Traitors. If she makes it to the end and claims the prize, she’ll be using the money to purchase a camper van. Then, she’ll set off on a road trip around Australia with her children.

Corrine — Nurse/Cattle Station Owner, Queensland (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Corrine
Network Ten

“I think all my experience has given me a resilience and a good bullshit detector,” Corinne says.

At 61, Corinne may be one of the oldest contestants on The Traitors Australia, but she’s not about to let that get in her way. After all, she’s a nurse and a cattle station owner, so she’s no stranger to hard work and problem solving in stressful situations.

“I can relax amongst the chaos but not be chaos myself,” she says. “I don’t think I’m going to have problems working out who’s not honest.”

On top of that, Corinne enjoys swimming, mountain biking and cross country running in her free time, so she’s ready for any challenge that may come her way.

Corinne says that one of her skills is that she never loses her cool, but will The Traitors get under her skin? Only time will tell.

Regardless, she’s hoping to take home the win (and the silver!) so she can semi-retire. From there, she’d like to travel the country with her kids.

Elias — Insurance Disputes Manager, NSW (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Elias
Network Ten

“I do want to keep a secret that I have a double degree in finance and marketing and corporate strategy,” Elias says.

Elias says that his friends call him Hannah Montana, and for good reason. By day, Elias has a corporate career as a compliance and dispute manager. Online, he’s also an Instagram influencer with 214K followers.

“I don’t want anyone to know I’m educated and highly intelligent,” he says. “I want them to think I’m just a social media influencer who is there to have a good time.”

On The Traitors, Elias plans to use his skills from both jobs to his advantage as he makes his way through the game of deception.

“I am very blunt and direct,” he says. “I hate beating around the bush and would use that to influence people when I need to.”

In his office job, Elias is used to dealing with complaints. Over his career, he’s gotten very good at getting to the bottom of things. He knows how to get to the truth of the matter, and can spot when people are lying with ease.

Now, Elias is ready to use everything he’s learned. If he’s selected as a Traitor, he’s ready to be the one telling the lies. After all, with $250k on the line, what’s a few lies between Faithfuls and Traitors?

Gloria — Disability Support Worker, Victoria (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast Gloria
Network Ten

“It is very interesting for me to be in this game because as a Christian, we try not to lie,” Gloria says. “But this is a game of lying and just knowing it’s a game, it’ll be okay. I know God understands.”

Gloria is a devout Christian, an identical twin, a part-time model, and a disability support worker. Now, she’s ready to take on The Traitors Australia, and she’s not afraid to use deception to make it to the end.

“To all the professionals, the psychologists, the criminal justice lawyers, anyone who thinks they have an advantage in this game, I’m coming for you,” Gloria says. “You will be beaten by a disability support worker!”

As a child, Gloria and her twin sister would swap places to prank people, and she’s ready to embrace some of that playful trickery if she’s selected as a Traitor.

Gloria grew up in Kenya, and her parents sacrificed a lot to relocate the family to Australia over a decade ago. If Gloria were to win The Traitors, she would love to buy her parents a new house as a thank you for all they’ve done for her.

Gyton — Actor, Victoria (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Gyton
Network Ten

“Let’s imagine people are aware I’m an actor, it could be an advantage or a disadvantage,” Underbelly actor Gyton Grantley says.

On the one hand, Gyton imagines that people will “probably assume [he’s] very good at lying”, but he disputes this.

“I see being an actor as trying to find the truth in things,” he explains. “So hopefully people can trust me. I don’t know if it will help or hinder me, it’s catch 22.”

Whether he’s selected as a Traitor or a Faithful, Gyton is hoping his acting skills will come in handy. He’s also a big fan of games that involve strategy, so he’s most looking forward to the gameplay of The Traitors.

Outside of his acting career and time on The Traitors, Gyton prides himself on being “a family man”.

Gyton says that his wife and children are “the greatest thing that’s ever happened to [him]”, and that they’re the reason he’s coming to play the game.

Hannah — Former Below Deck Chief Stew (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Hannah
Network Ten

“I started filming Below Deck nearly 10 years ago and I feel like the person I was back then and who I am today are now two very different people,” Hannah says. “I’m a mum now, I have a mortgage and responsibilities.”

Hannah ditched the corporate life for the South of France to work on superyachts when she was 22, and was Chief Stew when she joined the Bravo’s Below Deck.

Now a longtime reality star from her time on Below Deck and The Real Love Boat, Hannah knows reality TV. What’s more, she knows how to read people, she knows how to deal with all kinds of personalities, and she knows how to navigate any situation that comes her way. Now, she’s ready to put those skills to the test on The Traitors Australia, and to show viewers a new side of herself.

As for how she thinks she’ll do?

“I’m worried I might talk too much which could be my downfall,” she says. “I need to remember what my husband told me — not everything that goes in your head needs to come out of your mouth.”

Ian — Content Creator, Queensland (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Ian
Network Ten

“I feel like with content these days, it’s always the stereotypical beautiful person who seem to have their life in order,” Ian says. “I wanted to be different and I’m random, I’m having fun and it’s also been fun to be one of the OG Indigenous creators in Australia as well.”

Ian is a TikTok star from Queensland who boasts over two million followers on the platform. On his page, Ian is all about doing skits, embracing different characters, and embodying anything and anyone, whether that’s Tina Turner or a pineapple. The life of any party and with a go-with-the-flow, adaptable attitude, Ian believes he’s got what it takes to navigate the treachery of The Traitors with ease.

Ian knows that the job title of “influencer” can come with a certain preconceived notions, but he’s ready to prove everyone wrong. He wants to show his fellow contestants, and the viewers, that there’s a new type of influencer in town.

And of course, like any social media star, Ian’s been on the receiving end of online trolling. He’s used to it, though, and hopes that his ability to handle confronting situations will also come in handy in the mansion.

After all, he’s in it to win it, and he’s hoping to laugh all the way to the bank.

Keith — Former Undercover Cop, Victoria (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Keith
Network Ten

“I’m not telling anybody of my past as a cop because The Traitors would immediately look at me as a threat,” Keith says. “They would think I’m able to uncover lies, which I can. I would rather be the retired corporate executive, the older guy, who has lived a life that’s a bit boring and sit in the middle.”

Keith believes he was born to play The Traitors. During his 20 year career as a police officer, Keith did everything from working undercover to negotiating hostage situations, and everything in between. It’s safe to say he saw a lot during his time, and developed a set of skills that he expects will serve him well on The Traitors.

During his career, Keith was awarded two Police Valour Medals, the Australian Bravery Medal, Queensland Police Ethical Service Medal, National Medal and National Police Service Medal.

Now, he’s ready to embrace the dark side, and see what life as a Traitor may bring him. However, he does have a few doubts about how he’ll go, should he be selected as one of the Traitors.

“I just love people and I’m a people-person, so I need to draw on that experience and those training courses to overcome that,” he muses.

Liam — Apprentice Electrician, Tasmania (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Liam
Network Ten

“Being on the work site, I’ve learned a lot about what not to say and what to say,” Liam says. “So I think coming here, they’ll think he’s just a young, dumb guy but I’m not. I’m good at solving problems and puzzles and I think it’ll help me in the game.”

An apprentice electrician from a small town in Tasmania, Liam is ready to take on The Traitors. But he’s not just excited for the gameplay, or the chance to win the $250k prize.

“I’ve never stayed in a five-star hotel in my life so going in here, I’m going to go into my room and just be so excited,” he says. “I might steal the soap, some of those shampoo samples, that’s all going in the luggage.”

As one of the younger contestants in the game, Liam is hoping the others will underestimate him, and as a natural extrovert, you can expect to see him rely on his social skills and “gift of the gab” as he navigates through the competition.

Luke — Australian Survivor All Star, Western Australia (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Luke
Network Ten

“Stabbing people in the back? That’s my bread and butter!” Luke says with a laugh.

“Only in the games, not in real life,” he clarifies.

Luke is a husband, a father of three, and recently, he got his real estate licence. Of course, fans will recognise him as an Australian Survivor All Star (he’s the King of the Jungle, baby!) and winner of Big Brother VIP.

In fact, when he was eliminated from Australian Survivor: Champions Vs Contenders 2 in the final three, fans quickly organised a Go Fund Me page to raise the equivalent amount of prize money for him.

“The support I got and the donations my family received, that changed my life,” he says. “It was something I’ll never take for granted and was just the icing on the cake from the whole experience. It helped set up my life so I can take care of my wife and kids who are the most important thing to me.”

Now, he’s getting ready for a new challenge in The Traitors Australia, and with his strategic mind and social skills, he’s sure to be a threat in the mansion.

“I want to get in there and make as many friends as possible to get people on my side and to stick with me… but if you look at me funny, I’m going to vote you out!” he declares.

Paeden — Graphic Designer, South Australia (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Paeden
Network Ten

“Clearly it was my bulging biceps that got me on the show but actually, I’ve played these games my whole life,” Paeden says. “I know what it takes to win. It’s a balance of deception, social politics and relationship management. Coming in with a game mindset, lets me go in with nothing to lose. I don’t need more friends, I have plenty at home.”

The Traitors Australia is a dream come true for Paeden. When he’s not competing on reality television, Paeden works as a graphic designer in Adelaide. He also got engaged recently, so if he’s successful in the game and manages to take home the win, he’ll be using the prize money to pay for his wedding, purchase a new car and house, and to look after his family and friends.

Paeden is ready to show everyone he’s got what it takes to make it to the end, and he’s ready to leave his conscience at the door.

“If you signed up to play a show called The Traitors and have some sort of moral compass and want to talk down on those playing the best game pretending it’s against your ethics, you are an out-and-out moron,” he says.

Paul — Shark Attack Survivor, Los Angeles (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Paul
Network Ten

“Was a pretty bad way to start the day,” Paul says, of the time he survived a bull shark attack. It was 2009, and Paul was doing a counter terrorism exercise in Sydney Harbour when the shark removed his entire right hand, as well as the hamstring of his right leg.

“Fortunately for me, I don’t have flashbacks or nightmares or hold onto things like that,” the former elite soldier says of the incident. “I’ve been through enough in my life to realise that was just another chapter and life goes on.”

He adds, “I also have that dark military humour and Aussie humour so I take the positive and found it catapulted me into knowing more about myself.”

Following the shark attack, Paul has gone on to become a prominent figure in media. He’s a published author, a television host, a motivational speaker, and even a part-time rapper. Now, he’s ready for a new challenge in The Traitors Australia.

In the game, you can expect to see Paul trying to fly under the radar, and hide his military skills from the group.

“I can be that grey man,” he says. “I don’t need to be the leader, I can be the follower.”

He adds: “I can fit into any scenario and sometimes you just have to shut off your emotions and I’m very good at that.”

Roha — Luxury Fashion Worker, Western Australia (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Roha
Network Ten

“I can spot an untrustworthy person if they wear all black shoes with white socks,” Roha says. “That is a fashion no-no! Do not come at me if you are wearing black shoes and white socks, it’s giving school kid.”

Roha works in luxury fashion, but he’s also a natural entertainer. A self-taught dancer and creative director for a dance studio, Roha knows a thing or two about body language, and expects this to come in handy on The Traitors Australia.

When it comes to being selected as a Traitor or Faithful, Roha believes he’d excel in either role.

“If I’m a Faithful, Traitors this is a message for you — you better sleep with one eye open because I’m watching your every move, every outfit, everything you say. I’m coming for you,” he promises.

Sam — Marketing Consultant, Queensland (Traitor)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Sam
Network Ten

“I have a really good game face, I’m just gonna be nice and pleasant, but when it really comes down to the crunch, I know what I need to do,” Sam says.

Originally a NSW country boy, Sam now lives on the Gold Coast. In 2019, he spent over 40 days volunteering as a firefighter to help fight the NSW bushfires alongside his father and brother. During that time, the trio also raised over $63K for his local wildlife centre.

While Sam may be a charitable person in real life, he’s ready to do whatever it takes to win The Traitors — regardless of whether he’s a Traitor or a Faithful.

In his regular life, Sam travels the world, working as a marketing videographer for many international brands. It’s a role that requires him to have a high level of adaptability, as he caters to each brands requirements, and he believes this is a skill that will be useful in The Traitors.

“I work with so many different brands and businesses, so I have to change my character seven times a day from being a fitness person to selling garden equipment,” he explains.

Sarah — Clinical Psychotherapist, South Australia (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Sarah
Network Ten

“I don’t want them to know I can sniff out crap,” Sarah says. “When people meet me, they either love me and my energy or other people think I’m too much. I need to be playing myself but a little bit vanilla.”

When Sarah isn’t competing on The Traitors Australia, she works as a clinical psychotherapist, so she’s very accustomed to reading people. She’s also worked in the prison system, so she’s met all kinds of people, and basically heard every story under the sun.

Sarah is planning to rely on her “spidey senses” and gut instinct to keep her one step ahead of her fellow competitors — regardless of whether she’s a Faithful or a Traitor.

In Sarah’s career, being a trustworthy person is imperative, so she’s quite excited at the prospect of getting to lie and deceive others. In fact, she’s planning on starting right away. Rather than telling her fellow Traitors contestants about her skills as a psychotherapist, Sarah plans to make up a fake career in the hopes that it keeps the target off her back.

Should she be successful and take home the $250k, Sarah plans to pay for her mother’s knee replacement surgery. She’s also looking forward to jetting off on a Santorini holiday with her fiancée, Sharon.

Simone — Professional Wrestler, Los Angeles (Faithful)

The Traitors Australia 2023 cast, Simone
Network Ten

“In professional wrestling, everyone’s coming for your spot, it’s never safe,” Simone says. “You have to always be on your game. So I feel like that will help me here because I won’t take anything on face value.”

Outside of the ring, Simone is charming and sweet. Inside the ring, she’s Princess Aussie, a fierce competitive wrestler. Now, she’s ready to combine all her skills and characteristics for the challenge of a lifetime: The Traitors Australia.

Originally from the Gold Coast, Simone left home at 16. She travelled the world for years, before finally settling in Los Angeles. She’s been working as a professional wrestler for five years, and adores her job. Now, Simone is back in Australia, and she’s ready to win.

“Although I’m really looking forward to meeting a lot of people and making some cool friends, my eyes are on the prize,” she says. “I’m going to make the moves I need in order for me to win.”

The Traitors Australia returns at 7.30pm on Sunday, August 13, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand. Missed the first season? Catch up now on 10 Play.
