The Summit Australia is Channel 9’s latest reality competition series, challenging 14 strangers to make it to the top of one of New Zealand’s highest peaks in just 14 days. Oh, and they’re carrying their share of the million dollar cash prize on their backs. Every time someone leaves the show, the prize pool drops, so the stakes (like the mountain) are high. It’s a brand new show, and that means it’s time to put faces to the names of the 14 trekkers who make up The Summit 2023 cast.
The Summit 2023 Cast: Meet Sam
Sam is a strength and conditioning coach from Sydney, and he’s not one to shy away from a challenge. Rather, he loves to push himself to the limit, whether it’s jumping out of planes or hiking through foreign countries.
When it comes to The Summit Australia, he’s ready to face whatever’s in store.
“I’m a firm believer in giving everything my all,” Sam said in a press statement. “I’m going to get to the top of that mountain and know that I did the best I could possibly do.
He continued: “If someone tells me I can’t do something, or that other people are going to beat me to it, you best believe that I will be showing up all guns blazing to prove them wrong.”

Sam’s Journey to The Summit
Growing up in Queensland, Sam spent a lot of time camping with his family. As a result, the outdoors doesn’t intimidate him. However, he believes that the mental game of The Summit will be the ultimate test.
“At the end of the day, it’s you against you,” Sam explained. “I do get competitive with others, but I’m always competing against myself and wanting to do the absolute best that I know I can. If I haven’t done that, I’m not happy.”
Sam’s dedication and determination are sure to make him a valuable asset to the team. But will he make it to the top and claim his share of the prize? Only time will tell.
