14 strangers, 14 days, one million dollars. Can they make it to the top of one of New Zealand’s highest peaks for their share in the prize? This is the premise of The Summit Australia, Channel 9’s latest reality competition series. Today, we’re putting faces to the names of the 14 trekkers who make up The Summit 2023 cast.
The Summit Australia 2023 Cast: Meet Indy
Indy is a marine scientist who’s spent her life on the ocean. She grew up fishing, and even held the junior female world record for catching a 267kg swordfish at the age of 16. Now, she’s ready for a new adventure.
As Indy embarks on her journey up The Summit, she believes it’s all a matter of mindset.
“I’m calling this a hill because then it’s something I can achieve,” Indy said in a press statement. “By calling it a mountain, I’m making it intimidating and scary. A hill is much easier for me to comprehend, and if I’ve won the mental battle, then I’ll be okay.”

Indy’s Journey to The Summit
Indy knows that her time on The Summit Australia will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it’s not something she takes lightly.
“I think I’ll be a different person coming out of this,” Indy said. “I think I’ll be more informed about other people’s motives in life and how to take care of myself.
“There will be things I take out of this that I’ll probably carry with me for the rest of my life,” she continued.
Still, at the end of the day, Indy knows this is “a game”, and also a competition, and she’s got her eyes on the prize.
“I know people are here to win, and so am I,” she said.
With her love of the ocean and her determination to conquer new challenges, Indy is sure to make a splash on The Summit Australia 2023.
