Could you climb a mountain with 13 complete strangers, carrying your share of a million dollar prize on your back, in just 14 days? Welcome to The Summit Australia, Channel 9’s new reality competition series, which challenges its contestants to do just that. Today, we’re putting faces to the names of the 14 trekkers who make up The Summit 2023 cast.
The Summit Australia 2023 Cast: Meet Gemma
Gemma is an online health coach. She prides herself on having a go-getter attitude and strong determination to achieve her goals. Now, she’s ready to put her stubbornness to good use, as she believes it’s what will drive her to the top of The Summit.
“I want to help people, I want to work with people, but I also want to win. When I set myself a goal I really dig my heels in and don’t let anything stop me,” Gemma said.
Gemma believes that with the combination of hard work, determination, and a willingness to help others, there’s nothing that can’t be achieved.
As a fitness coach, Gemma plans to use her coaching skills to help everyone work as a team to reach the peak of the mountain.

Gemma’s Journey to The Summit
Before joining The Summit Australia 2023 cast, Gemma trained as hard as she could.
“I’ve tried to prepare as much as possible for this adventure as I’d rather be over-prepared than under-prepared,” she said in a press statement. “I’m very meticulous, probably to a point of annoyance, but I get it done.”
Gemma’s motivation to never waste an opportunity stems from the passing of her father. She hopes that her climb to the top of The Summit will be an unforgettable experience.
“I know that this adventure will be challenging, but I’m ready to push myself to new heights and inspire others to do the same,” Gemma said.
The Summit Australia airs at 7pm on Sunday, and at 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 9 and 9Now. Miss an episode? Catch up on 9Now.
