‘The Real Love Boat’: Meet the Crew Guiding Our Singles to Love

Network Ten’s newest dating show, The Real Love Boat, dubbed “Love Island on a boat” is setting sail, carrying our eligible singles across the seas as they search for long-lasting love connections.

We’ve met the contestants, from never-been-on-a-date cutie Tyler, to gym-obsessed twin Harley, to sexy single dad Jay, and we can’t wait to see how their journeys pan out.

But just like the original 1976 sitcom, the crew on board The Real Love Boat will have a huge impact when helping the singles navigate the crazy wild journey that is looking for love on the high seas.

Meet the crew of The Real Love Boat Australia 2022, below.

Darren McMullen, Host

You’ve definitely seen Darren McMullen’s handsome mug on your screens before. He’s hosted countless shows, such as The Voice and The Voice Kids Australia, as well as featuring in Australian dramas like House Husbands.

With a dreamy singing voice and even dreamier linen pants, McMullen is the perfect man for the job. We can’t wait to see him guide these eligible singles looking for love.

Hannah Ferrier, Cruise Director

You might recognise Hannah from her witty banter and sassy one-liners from Below Deck Mediterranean!

Sailing onto our screens back in 2016, Hannah managed the demands of elite passengers and a needy crew week after week on the beloved show, quickly becoming a favourite and stealing the show for five epic seasons.

In her role as Cruise Director on The Real Love Boat, Hannah will go from cast member to  host on this brand-new reality format.

Daniel Doody, Head of Entertainment

Known as “Doody” or “Doods”, Daniel Doody is a friendly face from Studio 10; the most uplifting morning show on Aussie TV.

Before he dipped his toe in the media, Doody sailed the seas as an entertainer aboard European cruise ships. It was there that he met his now wife, Joanne.

Given his own lived experience in finding love on the high seas, it was a no-brainer for Doody to join The Real Love Boat as Head of Entertainment, delivering memorable experiences while fostering the emotional connections formed with the singles on board.

Paolo Arrigo, Captain

Captain Paolo Arrigo is all set to steer The Real Love Boat towards lasting love, for our 20 singles.

The 46-year-old captain from Italy is a highly accomplished mariner, whose career spans more than a quarter-century at sea. After serving a year in the Italian Coast Guard, he joined Princess Cruises as a deck cadet in 1996.

Having worked as the captain on The Real Love Boat US, there is no better person for the job than Paolo Arrigo.

The Real Love Boat airs at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
