It’s been a bumper year for competitive reality TV in Australia and sneaking in before 2022 closes is Network 10’s latest series set to have us binging every episode, The Challenge Australia.
Hosted by Brihony Dawson, The Challenge Australia pits 22 sports legends, influencers and reality TV stars against one another to compete in a series of physical challenges, all while living together in one mega-luxe and mega-romantic villa, AND while vying for the ultimate prize of $200,000.
Oh, and did we mention some of the contestants have dated before? What could possibly go wrong when living with and competing against your ex?
One of the contestants hoping to take home the prize is David Subritzky.
Having previously competed in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, David said in a press statement that going up against others is second nature to him.
“I am so competitive,” he said. “I’m a Leo, and my dad is an ex-rugby player so it’s in my nature, in my blood to be competitive.”
Planning to hit the social strategy hard from the outset, David said that not taking things too seriously and always being up for a chat would be his secrets to success.
“My biggest strength is to be nice to everyone and sweet talk my way to get that crown!” he said. “Socialising is also such a big advantage for me because I can literally have a conversation with a brick wall.”
He continued: “I handle confrontation with snappy comebacks, and if I’m losing, I’ll just laugh and walk off! But usually, I win.”
And while David may be known for his impeccable fashion sense and ultra-glam looks, the social media star says he knows what he signed up for.
“I’m down to get dirty!”
But will David succeed and come out on top? Only time will tell…
The Challenge Australia airs at 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
