But of course, no week of The Block is complete without a bit of drama. Ronnie and Georgia have a run-in with Tanya and Vito, with the couples’ accusing the other of being fake. But what they didn’t realise, is that they were mic’d up and the entire confrontation was caught on camera.
But at the end of the day, it all comes down to what the judges think, so as soon as Scotty said “tools down”, it was time for the verdict to be revealed.
Ronnie and Georgia
Spending $47,001, the judges loved Ronnie and Georgia’s living and dining room, saying it felt luxurious. The dining table was the perfect size and the furniture choices flowed seamlessly with the aesthetic.
Mitch and Mark
The judges criticised Mitch and Mark for the layout, saying there was too much empty space between the kitchen, living and dining room. It didn’t feel like home and instead, gave off hotel vibes. The TV was far too high and nothing looked cohesive. In total the couple spent $37,691.
Tanya and Vito
Tanya and Vito’s sunken lounge was a huge hit with the judges, garnering praises all around. Spending $49,618, the words to describe their room was fun and playful. They definitely did well.
Josh and Luke
Similar to Mitch and Mark, Josh and Luke also didn’t get the layout right. The judges felt the stunning Christian Cole table was in the wrong spot and the dining and living room furniture needed to be swapped around. Darren said he thinks the boys are overwhelmed. They spent $37,367 in total.
Kirsty and Jesse
After last week’s win, Kirsty and Jesse managed to pull off yet another beautiful space. The furniture choice for the rooms was perfectly executed and Shaynna loved the wallpaper. They spent $47,864 in total.
In the end, it was a tie between Ronnie and Georgia and Tanya and Vito.
