They were told by Keith and Dan that their step from the indoor to the outdoor bathroom wasn’t compliant and that they needed to fix it.
Thankfully, the pair thought of a quick solution and used some outdoor mats.
However, while everyone managed to finish their rooms on time, the siblings were working to the very last minute.
Here is how everyone went.
Ronnie and Georgia
Spending $22,000, the judges were impressed with the neutral colour palette Ronnie and Georgia chose. According to Neale, the room gave off an “effortless calm” and the cabinetry was a huge hit. Shaynna however found the shower screen to be too low.
Kirsty and Jesse
Kirsty and Jesse’s Hampton themed bathroom was a breath of fresh air, with the judges falling in love with the tap selection. However, they were criticised for their shower screen which was far too low and the bath tap which was loose.
Josh and Luke
Spending the most amount of money by far, Josh and Luke created a luxury bathroom with $41,980 and it certainly paid off. Shaynna said the bath felt like a luxury weekend getaway and the judges found the bathroom was incredibly functional.
Mitch and Mark
The couple spent $26,790 but according to the judges, Mitch and Mark’s bathroom was a complete planning disaster. The shower screen was far too large and sat too close to the basins, and Neale thought it was quite dangerous as there was no space to move around. Shaynna was in disbelief seeing just how much the two got it wrong. While they enjoyed the styling, the judges thought there were plenty of changes that needed to be made.
Tanya and Vito
Tanya and Vito’s bathroom was loved by the judges but there were questions raised over the brown coloured tile in the shower. The judges believed it looking like a seventies public toilet, and Shaynna felt there was too much happening. The couple spent $17,458 in total.
In the end, Ronnie and Georgia won the challenge, leaving Josh and Luke furious as they would have won if it wasn’t for the bonus gnome the couple used.
