‘The Block’ Has Crowned Its Winner After a Record-Breaking Finale

In what was a tense and gripping Grand Finale, Omar and Oz have been crowned the winner of The Block, Season 18.

In what was a brilliant victory, the pair made $1,586,666.66 in profit plus $100,000 in prize money.

It was a record-breaking result, with no one expecting them to smash Jimmy and Tam’s profit from 2020.

This meant both Omar and Oz walked away with $800,000 each after splitting the profits amongst themselves.

The episode kicked off with Tom and Sarah-Jane choosing the auction order — an advantage given to them for winning six room reveals throughout the competition.

The auction order was (1) Omar and Oz, (2) Tom and Sarah-Jane, (3) Rachel and Ryan, (4) Ankur and Sharon, (5) Dylan and Jenny.

However, their move to put rivals Omar and Oz first backfired because not only did they win the competition, but Tom and Sarah-Jane received a measly profit of $20,000.99.

“I just feel crushed without you… You didn’t deserve that. We deserved a lot more. I don’t know what’s going on,” said Scott Cam.

The bad luck seemed to follow Ryan and Rachel, with the couple making surprisingly low profits as well.

However, no one’s day was as devastating as Ankur and Sharon’s and Dylan and Jenny’s, who couldn’t hit their reserve price and decided not to sell on auction day.

In the end, the results were as follows:
