I’m living under the just-extended restrictions in Sydney, and last week, one of the most popular stories I wrote was on 33 things to do in lockdown over the weekend. That, to me, proved I wasn’t alone in wondering how the heck I was, and am, going to fill up chunks of another month of obligation-free 48 hours.
And while I’d suggested heaps of interesting things to do in that story, one managed to escape the list (I hadn’t heard about it until now) and so, I thought it deserving of its own story.
It’s a virtual session for Sydneysiders with Paint and Sip Studios. Where you can create artwork like this from the comfort of your own home:
On Saturday, August 7, the studio will be providing all paint supplies including a canvas, paints, easel, apron and brushes via a contactless delivery (note that you’ll need to BYO your drink) and then, once you’re all set up, leading a painting session on Zoom.
The night starts at 6.30pm and will set you back $70, which when you think about the cost of all the supplies and delivery, not to mention the chance to dedicate time to the extremely therapeutic act that is painting, is actually quite the steal.
Book the virtual paint session here.
