We hope you haven’t made any weekend plans in the coming months, because you’re about to cancel every single one of them for long nights in front of the TV.
Streaming network Stan just announced a “legendary” line-up of some of the most iconic TV series to ever hit our screens.
In a Tweet on the official Twitter account, the platform announced that How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy and for the first time ever in Australia, Family Guy, would join its stellar line-up of shows.

But, there’s one show that has been added to the line up which is causing quite the nostalgic commotion — Sarah Michelle Gellar’s epic TV series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
All seven seasons of the iconic series (which ended in 2003) will be uploaded to the service on November 28, so goodbye anything we were meant to do this weekend.
The series was created in 1997 by Joss Whedon, who paved the way for nitty gritty teen drama — and frankly, if it weren’t for this show, a whole genre wouldn’t exist.
Buffy and her “Scooby Gang”, included Willow (Alyson Hannigan) who went on to become one half of one of the very first same-sex couples on mainstream television. And Angel (David Boreanaz), Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) Spike (James Masters), Xander (Nicholas Brendon) and Riley (Marc Blucas).
The show won a long list of awards including Teen Choice Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Makeup and Outstanding Music Composition.
For the star of the show, Gellar quickly became one of the most famous celebrities in the world, going on to star in the film Cruel Intentions, with then “It” couple, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. Talk about peak 90s.
The move to add such amazing nostalgic content to Stan, joins the likes of Friends and Charmed.
This week, the platform also announced four original series coming soon including the highly anticipated second season of The Other Guy starring Harriet Dyer and Matt Okine and new sure-to-be hits The Commons (starring Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt and Bloom’s Ryan Corr), The Gloaming (starring Once Upon A Time’s Emma Booth and The Cry’s Ewen Leslie) and The True History Of The Kelly Gang (starring Game of Thrones’ Essie Davis).
