SpaceX’s Starship Explodes

The Starship contains multitudes. It’s Earth’s most powerful rocket. It’s Earth’s largest rocket. It’s also a bunch of SpaceX debris in the Gulf of Mexico.

On April 20, SpaceX launched their flagship Starship for the first time. The Starship then flew across the Texan sky. However, after three minutes, it exploded and had a fiery crash.

In a statement, SpaceX said, “As if the flight test was not exciting enough, Starship experienced a rapid unscheduled disassembly before stage separation.”

“With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and today’s test will help us improve Starship’s reliability as SpaceX seeks to make life multi-planetary.”

Twitter’s Free Ticks Are Finished

It’s official, Twitter has ended its original checkmark system. Yup, if you’re a famous person or a person of note, you can no longer get a blue tick for free. What’s more, if you originally had one, it’s getting thrown into the dumpster

As of April 20, Twitter’s checkmarks are exclusively a pay-to-win experience. Well, unless you have a governmental account. At the moment, some old ticks have fluttered between being on the platform and being gone, while some other ticks have disappeared entirely.

This move is concerning as Twitter’s checkmark system has gone from being a verification method to something any bad actor can purchase. It’s now a lot easier to impersonate someone who’s famous or a prominent political figure.

Is Google Bard Now Ready?

Image: Alphabet and The Latch

Google Bard is an AI chatbot that can answer your questions, write stuff for you, and is basically another version of ChatGPT. And according to some Google employees, it’s also prone to being a “pathological liar.”

That’s right, some Google employees don’t believe that Bard is currently safe to use. Since its creation, some employees have internally said that this product has provided aircraft advice that would lead to crashes taking place. It has also provided scuba diving advice that “would likely result in serious injury or death.”

However, Google has ignored these red flags. On March 21, Google Bard opened for a round of public beta testing.

In response to this info leaking, a Google spokesperson said, “We are continuing to invest in the teams that work on applying our AI Principles to our technology.”
