Cleaning hacks — gotta love them. While some do get a thrill out of doing household chores, for most everyone else, they’re a burden. And finding any shortcut to get them done faster is a huge win.
Enter this shower cleaning hack. In a video that’s gone viral on TikTok, Adelaide mum Emmy Rachelle shared a method that uses just three products — all which you likely already have in your home — and leaves your shower sparkly-clean.
In the clip, Rachelle explains that the three ingredients to gather are dishwashing detergent, vinegar and a dish wand. She then goes on to show how she pours the detergent into the handle of the dish wand, reaching halfway, before adding in the vinegar and then taking the wand to the shower to start cleaning.
“I already had the same solution in the shower but in a spray bottle with a cloth and honestly, it was just such a waste of time. You can even do the outside of showers and just wipe it down with a towel or anything with microfibre, and it just comes up so clear,” she says.
Since the video was posted, it’s been viewed more than 1.6 million times and received more than 570 comments.
“Haven’t had my shower screen this clean since we moved in six years ago. I have tried so many toxic sprays and this is the best,” commented one user, while another wrote: “Ok, this hack changed my life! Cleaning the shower has never been so easy.”
