SAS Australia returns for its 2023 season and the recruits have been announced. If you haven’t tuned into SAS Australia previously, the recruits are dealt a series of physical and psychological tests to see how far they can push their limits. These trials are administered by a highly skilled team of ex-Special Forces operatives.
For the first time in the show’s history, the recruits will be travelling offshore. In this season, we can expect tougher tests and even more challenging conditions as the contestants will work their way through the Middle East. And regardless of their status in the “outside world” they will eat, sleep and train together as one unit.
Let’s meet the 14 new recruits:
Abbey Holmes, 32 – AFL Field Commentator
Anthony Mundine, 47 – World Champion Boxer
Boyd Cordner, 30 – Retired NRL Star
Cassie Sainsbury, 28 – Convicted Drug Smuggler
Dr Craig Challen, 57 – Thai Cave Rescue Hero
Craig McLachlan, 57 – Actor

Matthew Mitcham, 35 – Olympic Gold Diver
Peter Bol, 29 – Olympic Runner
