‘Schitt’s Creek’ and ‘The Crown’ Each Earn Five SAG Award Nominations

The nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGs) have been announced with beloved sitcom Schitt’s Creek and acclaimed historical drama The Crown the top contenders with five apiece.

The nominations were announced by Lily Collins and Daveed Digs via the SAG Awards Instagram page, with the late Chadwick Boseman earning two posthumous nominations, for lead actor in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and supporting actor for Da 5 Bloods.

And fan favourite I May Destroy You, which was notably absent from the Golden Globes nominations, was happily given the recognition it deserves with a nod for lead actress Michaela Coel who is up for Best Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series.

The SAG Awards will take place on April 4 (US).
