We’ve had George Clooney, Christian Bale and most recently Ben Affleck and now, Robert Pattinson (and his very strong jawline) is joining the stable.
Warner Brothers has finally given DC fans a look at Pattinson’s transformation from teen heartthrob to the masked crusader, ahead of the new film entitled The Batman.
Director Matt Reeves shared a “camera test” to his Twitter account, of Pattinson lit only by a red hue and accompanied by a Batman theme from composer Michael Giacchino.
“#TheBatman #CameraTest”, he captioned the simple, yet very exciting Tweet.

Back in January, the movie house announced Pattinson will be playing “Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne”.
In an interview with Variety last September, Pattinson said he had been a long time fan of the franchise.
“I’d had Batman in my mind for a while,” he said. “It’s such an absurd thing to say. I sort of had an idea to do it, and I’d been prodding Matt. He didn’t accept any prods. I kept asking to meet him.”
According to the publication, in the final stages of the audition process, the Twilight alum tried on the iconic costume.
“I remember saying to Matt, ‘It does feel quite transformative!’” Pattinson said. “He was like, ‘I would hope it does! You’re literally in the Batsuit.’”
Pattinson went on to say that he did feel “very powerful immediately” and that it was “pretty astonishing” how hard it was to put on.
“So the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating,” he admitted. “You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something. Once you’ve got it on, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.’”
The Batman also stars Zoë Kravitz (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as James Gordon, Colin Farrell (The Gentlemen) as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin and Peter Sarsgaard (The Interrogation) as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson.
The Batman is set to be released in theatres on June 26, 2021.
