While we’re all busy staying home and keeping 1.5m apart from one another, celebrities are doing what they can to keep us entertained online.
From star-studded events with every famous musical act joining forces for Together at Home to the cast of The Nanny reuniting via Zoom.
And if this wasn’t enough, now, the entire cast of Parks and Recreation are reuniting for a 30-minute special to raise money for COVID-`19 relief.
The Parks and Recreation special will feature the show’s key players including Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta, and will also bring back several other Pawnee favourites as special guests (Li’l Sebastian?!).
“Pawnee’s most dedicated civil servant, Leslie Knope [Poehler], is determined to stay connected to her friends in a time of social distancing. Like a lot of other people, we were looking for ways to help and felt that bringing these characters back for a night could raise some money,” executive producer and co-creator Mike Schur said in a statement.
“I sent a hopeful email to the cast and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old Parks and Rec team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life and we hope everyone enjoys it. And donates!” NBC said in a statement.
And this won’t just be your regular reunion either. The 30-minute special will centre on the challenging times facing citizens of the globe right now, which, we think is absolutely genius!
The special will air on NBC in the US on Thursday 30 April, however, it’s not clear how Australians will get to watch it just yet. Here’s hoping for a YouTube link or Instagram TV upload ASAP.
