Two very good things are happening this month in the world of beauty. The first is the opening of MECCA’s first flagship store, located in Sydney’s heritage-listed Gowings building, on Friday, November 27.
This beauty wonderland will officially be the largest and most-immersive dedicated beauty store in the Southern Hemisphere and will extend across four levels and 1,800 square metres.
In fact, MECCA’s flagship is 20 times bigger than its very first store in Melbourne and will grow MECCA’s Sydney CBD footprint by 250%. Whether you’re a beauty novice or a dedicated skincare enthusiast, there will be something for everyone in MECCA’s new digs.
The second piece of very exciting news is the launch of goop Beauty, which will be available exclusively at MECCA’s flagship store as well as online in Australia and New Zealand on November 27.
Founded by Gwyneth Paltrow, goop Beauty uses clinically proven ingredients at active levels to create skincare, ingestibles and body essentials that have a cult following around the world. You’ll now be able to get your hands on a number of favourites like the GOOPGLOW Body Luminizer and GOOPGENES All-In-One-Nourishing Face Cream thanks to MECCA.
“Australia has been at the forefront of the beauty and wellness trends, and for years, there has been a strong appetite for goop Down Under,” Paltrow, CEO and founder of goop, said in a statement.
“As the leading beauty retailer in the market, MECCA has pushed the boundaries for beauty innovation and was the right partner to bring our clean beauty offering to the marketplace. This is a meaningful moment for us as we continue to expand internationally.”
goop Beauty isn’t the only new brand to feature within flagship, with newcomers Kylie Skin, Tom Ford, Moon Juice and Resore also being unveiled at the end of the month. Old favourites including NARS, Drunk Elephant, Tatcha, Sunday Riley, Glow Recipe and Diptyque will also be on show, alongside MECCA’s signature brands Mecca Cosmetica and MECCA MAX.
A third of the new flagship store will also be dedicated to customisable services, with this Australian-first proposition to deliver a number of exclusive beauty and wellness partners including facial aesthetician, Dr Van Park and naturopath Anthia Koullouros, who will both take up residence in the MECCA Service Suites.
While at MECCA’s flagship, you’ll also be able to experience piercing and bracelet soldering offered by jewellery designer, Sarah & Sebastian, as well as hair services from the team at EdwardsAndCo.
November 27 can’t come quickly enough.
