In 2024, Juan is on MasterChef Australia

To the delight of many foodies across the nation, MasterChef Australia is returning to our screens. In what will be a thrilling season, this show promises to transform 22 budding cooks into the best chefs they can be. These Aussies will compete in cooking competition after cooking competition, until there’s only one contestant left. The last person standing will win $250,000 worth of prize money. For a contestant such as Juan, winning MasterChef Australia would improve their life forever.

Does Juan have what it takes to topple 21 other prospective winners? Or will he be the first one to go? Here’s everything we know about the MasterChef Australia contestant Juan.

Who Is MasterChef Australia’s Juan?

MasterChef Australia’s Juan is an Argentinian whose passion for food knows no bounds. Whenever he’s cooking in the kitchen, he can’t help but smile. Unlike most of his competitors, Juan speciality is Latin American flavours.

Juan is also very excited to be starring in this series. He has a great deal of respect for the judges Andy Allen and Poh Ling Yeow.

“Poh,” Juan said in his trailer, “a legend from MasterChef.”

When it comes to cooking, Juan is very confident in his abilities. He’s even ‘whooed’ himself when presenting one of his first meals to the judges.

Likewise, Juan has already won himself some fans. In the comment section of his first trailer, a lot of people are complimenting the vibes he’ll bring to the season.

“I love Juan already,” one fan wrote. “He seems like a chipper, happy, smiley guy!”

“I don’t know this guy,” another commenter wrote, “but he screams fun and positivity. Hope he crushes it. Go Juan!”

But while Juan has some fans, he still has room to grow. In Juan’s trailer, the French judge Jean-Christophe Novelli critiques his chopping technique. If he can’t master all the basics, he might find himself chopped from the show.
