Are You Ready For the Winner of ‘MasterChef Australia’ 2021 to Be Crowned?

MasterChef Australia Finale 2021

This is it, after weeks of delectable food, emotional eliminations and captivating backstories, MasterChef Australia is almost over for 2021.

That’s right, on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021, the winner of MasterChef Australia will be revealed in what is sure to be one hell of a final showdown.

The remaining contestants, at the time of publishing, are Kishwar, Pete, Justin, Elise, Linda and Sabina – so who will be walking away with $250,000 in prize money to begin their food dreams for real?

In the last elimination, fans were shocked to see Depinder leave as she was one of the strongest contestants who was considered a shoo-in for the finale. However, she is now happily working alongside judge Andy Allen at his Three Blue Ducks restaurant.

Speaking to The Latch following her elimination, Depinder had nothing but love for her experience on the show, saying, “I’m just so glad that I got to meet our judges and kind of got to know them personally as well because they have seen us in the happiest and hardest of times in the kitchen over the course of six or seven months.”

“No one really knows us the way they do. And I feel like as a cook, I probably don’t even know myself as much as Andy, Mel or Jock would know me. They’d be able to identify certain things that I’m doing incorrectly or correctly, what are my strengths and weaknesses.”

This season also saw an emotional turn when one of the most beloved contestants, Brent Draper, decided to exit the competition in order to prioritise his mental health. His departure sparked renewed conversations around men’s mental health and the importance of seeking support.

At the beginning of the season, Allen told The Latch,

“The stories of these guys and their attitude and their willingness to give up their amazing careers and then take the plunge and really, give everything that they have in each and every challenge, it’s amazing to see.

“I feel really privileged to be able to mentor these guys being in their shoes once. It’s really nice to be able to give back and mentor the new crop of amateurs,” before promising that the best was yet to come.

Suffice to say, he kept his promise!

Of course, applications for the 2022 season are now open, so if you are dreaming of getting into the kitchen and onto our screens you should definitely apply.

Be sure to watch the MasterChef Australia 2021 finale on Network Ten and 10Play on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021.
