It’s one of Australia’s favourite reality series and by far the most talked-about social experiment and now, Married at First Sight is returning in 2021.
Premiering on Monday, February 22 at 7.30pm, the series will feature brand-new couples who will lock eyes for the very first time when they walk down the aisle on their wedding day.
This year, relationship experts Mel Schilling and John Aiken will be joined by the effervescent Puerto Rican clinical sexologist, Alessandra Rampolla, as they endeavour to (hopefully) match singles with the loves of their lives.
2020 was a year that changed the world, including the dating landscape, which is more different than anyone could have ever expected. This new world adds yet another challenge for the newlyweds to approach together but it could mean that it will bring them closer together.
Once again, the couples will live under the same roof and will compare the ups and downs of their relationship in explosive dinner parties before being held accountable by the experts. What fun!
Sydney will once again be the setting for the marital experiment with the infamous dinner parties continuing to be filmed at a warehouse in Lilyfield and the couples shacking up in an apartment complex in the CBD. Given the restrictions that have been in place most of the year thanks to COVID-19, it remains to be seen if the couples were able to travel outside of the state for family meetings or honeymoons.
Based on previous seasons, we can assume the series will air Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine — and honestly, that four weeknights sorted for us!
