After that very wild ‘Tunnel of Love’ teaser that Channel 9 released for Married at First Sight awhile ago, we’ve been absolutely dying for a look at the upcoming season that showed us more of the couples and — no offence, 9! — less levitation???
Folks, today is that day.
A new trailer has dropped, while simultaneously revealing the premiere date of February 3rd, 2020.
The trailer gives us confirmation of some serious gossip we’ve been hearing over the past few months.
Yes, Elizabeth Sobinoff is back for round two after a disastrous first experience on the show’s 2019 season, and yes! MAFS is ready to make some history with the show’s first lesbian brides tying the knot.
Aside from that, the trailer teases drama galore.
There’s pre-wedding drama. There’s dinner party drama. There’s family drama, and there are a lot of tears. The voice over ominously promises us that we’ve “never seen the experiment quite like this” as we see one of our new brides start yelling across a table.
Hopefully we’ll get some happily ever afters out of the series. After all, it’s “all about love”… right?
Married at First Sight returns Monday, February 3 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
