You Must Watch the Magical Trailer for Mariah Carey’s Christmas Special

After such a tumultuous year, there are a few things we can count on when it comes to Christmas 2020. Netflix will and already has unleashed a bevvy of delightful holiday movies, Michael Buble will come out of hibernation, and the most stable of all — Mariah Carey will still be the unrivalled queen of Christmas.

With the holidays fast approaching, a festive spectacular is being released on Apple TV called Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special and now, there’s a trailer.

Starring the carol that should be on repeat on everyone’s Christmas playlist, All I Want for Christmas Is You, the short video gives a first look at the epic holiday extravaganza.

Released on December 4, Carey has invited a special line-up of guest superstars including Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland and Mykal-Michelle Harris, to all take part in this one-of-a-kind holiday event with extra special appearances to be made by Carey’s twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

It wouldn’t be a cheery Xmas show without a cheesy storyline and this has it in spades. “Faced with a holiday cheer crisis, the North Pole knows there’s only one person who can save the day: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey. Combining musical performances, dynamic dancing and groundbreaking animation, the undisputed Queen of Christmas jumps into action to create a holiday spectacular to make the whole world merry,” the official synopsis reads.

Carey, Grande and Hudson are also releasing a single alongside a new music video for Oh Santa! as well as a companion soundtrack including Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri.

The soundtrack will be available exclusively on Apple Music on December 4, and all other platforms on December 11. Oh, happy day!

The wonderous and blessed holiday event will premiere globally on Apple TV+, which has set records as the only new streaming service to instantly launch globally in over 100 countries while also being honoured with 122 award nominations and 39 wins and accolades in its first year.
