MAFS 2023: Joshua Is Simply Looking For His Plus One

Celebrating its 10th season, the new series of Married at First Sight put relationships to the test in ways they could never imagine as our new brides and grooms say “I do” to a complete stranger.

Twenty singles will meet for the first time at the altar on their wedding day after being matched by relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling, and clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla. And we can’t wait for the drama!

The social experiment kicked off on Monday, January 30, at 7:30pm on Channel 9, and it premiered with a bang. We’ve also been teased with some honeymoons ranging from the deeply romantic to the extra-spicy and drama-filled, both interstate and overseas.

But that’s not all. A brand-new twist is going to send shockwaves through the experiment as we’ve never seen before, which will put couples to the ultimate test.

For now, here’s everything we know so far about the participants of MAFS 2023.

Joshua

Joshua is the self-proclaimed and self-deprecating ‘station wagon’ of relationships – stable, dependable, and solid. Since his marriage ended, he’s attempted to navigate a whole new dating game that has evolved dramatically since he was last single but struggles in the modern world of apps and is coming to terms with ghosting, among other unfortunate trends.

This loveable father of two is simply looking for his plus one. And, although he says he’s a “yes man” who can become submissive in a relationship, his priority this time around is to establish a solid emotional connection with his partner and find his voice.
