Every silly season, there’s almost always one guarantee: you’ll spend more than usual dining out. There will be end-of-year pub meals with work colleagues. Annual Christmas lunches with your friends. And catch-up dinners with visiting relatives.

With the cost-of-living crisis real, why not make your silly season more affordable by grabbing a voucher for $100 or more to any Lucas Restaurants and getting a 20% bonus credit? In other words, if you’re buying a $100 voucher, you’ll get credit for a $120 meal. A $200 voucher will give you $240 credit. It’s like free money.

If you’re unfamiliar with Lucas Restaurants hospitality group, it was founded by chef and restauranteur Chris Ethos with an ethos of breaking the traditional mould of dining out. It owns heaps of Melbourne hotspots like Yakimono, Baby, Society, Hawker Hall, Kisumé and Grill Americano, which welcomed new head chef Vincenzo Ursini in July this year.

The group also launched Tombo Den on Melbourne’s Chapel Street in September. The immersive Japanese-inspired restaurant and sake bar is next door to Hawker Hall. In October, it opened its first Canberra venue, Carlotta. And this month, it’ll open Maison Batard, a four-level Bourke Street dining house that’s been eight years in the making.

The group is also behind longtime restaurant favourite Chin Chin, which has locations in Sydney and Melbourne. It serves South-East Asian with an Australian twist in a pink-tinted warehouse that feels like you’re in a nightclub.

The vouchers aren’t valid for pop-up Club Chin Chin in Geelong, unfortunately, though the venue’s running its own 20% bonus voucher promo. The vouchers can be bought and used anytime from now until Tuesday, December 24 and then again from Thursday, December 26 to Tuesday, December 31. Full terms and conditions here.
