Could 2020 be saved by this advent calendar collab? Okay, perhaps not but it’s certainly something to look forward to, you know, since we can’t have Christmas abroad like we were planning.
LEGO is bringing back its annual Star Wars advent calender in 2020, with a whole new set of minifigures and accessories that combine to into buildable starships.
With 24 doors for each day in December that leads up to Christmas, LEGO and Star Wars fans will be awarded a new festive treat to add to their collections.
There’s six LEGO minifigures, six LEGO figures, and a bunch of accessories that add up to a buildable starship. One compartment will even open up to reveal a code to unlock Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga game content.
Expect to find other goodies like Darth Vader in a Christmas jumper, D-O in a festive hat, Poe Dameron, Rey with a lightsaber and a Tauntaun with a red nose.
There are also 12 mini builds including Anakin’s Podracer, a TIE Fighter, a Droid Control Ship and Darth Vader’s Castle, plus a special foldout playmat with a picture of the Millennium Falcon with Christmas lights.
All up, the advent calendar contains 311 pieces and provides hours of entertainment for little kids and big kids alike.
The LEGO x Star Wars Advent Calendar is available to purchase online at the LEGO store from September 1, with a price tag of $49.99.
No telling yet which local retailers will stock the collectible item, but you’d better keep a keen eye out if you’re interested.
