She’s Stolen Brooke Blurton’s Heart on ‘The Bachelorette’, But Who is Jamie-Lee Dayz?

On Wednesday night, The Bachelorette Australia aired its first episode of the season, and to describe it in one word: Wow. Not only did the petty drama kick off almost immediately, but Brooke Blurton shared a steamy kiss with a very special someone.

Jamie-Lee Dayz is not only a contestant this year on The Bachelorette, but she and Brooke share history. The two of them first met during Honey Badger’s season of The Bachelor, and quickly formed a bond that could have blossomed into something more, but never had the chance to.

It’s been a few years since the pair were face-to-face, but sparks immediately started flying as soon as Jamie-Lee stepped onto the red carpet.

“There were so many times in the mansion where I would want to sneak over to your bed, but I just didn’t know,” Jamie-Lee told Brooke. “It was scary because if I had put my feelings out there and you ended up with Nick, then I would’ve lost you as a friend.”

Brooke was completely taken aback but told Jamie-Lee that she shared those same sentiments.

“I’m going to be honest with you, I had feelings for you in the house. Just know that,” she said. “But I knew that I was there obviously for Nick. I was conflicted… I kind of felt like it was a bit of a sliding door moment for us.”

Later on, Brooke and Jamie-Lee shared an intimate kiss, something that is virtually unheard of during the first episode. Not once, but three times.

So Who is Jamie-Lee?

Born and raised in Sydney, Jamie-Lee Dayz is a woman of many talents. Not only is she a psychology student but she’s also worked as a venue manager and has done some modelling in the past.

What’s the Connection Jamie-Lee Shares with Brooke?

The 30-year-old was first romantically linked to Brooke during their time on The Bachelor 2018. But despite rumours floating around at the time, Jamie-Lee denied reports that the two briefly dated.

“I actually think it’s a really disappointing rumour to hear,” she told Mamamia back then.

“Just because there are two, I’m going to use the term bisexual, just because there are two bisexual girls in one room doesn’t mean that they’re automatically dating. It’s a shame to see that as a society that’s the outcome we come to, just because there’s two people who have similarities. It kind of sucks.

“It’s definitely not true. I have a lot of love for Brooke and she’s a such a legend but we’re definitely just friends.”

The Bachelorette Australia airs at 7.30pm every Wednesday and Thursday on Channel 10 and 10play.
