Anyone wanting to upgrade their iPhone right now might just want to hang tight. It’s suspected Apple will be releasing its latest iPhone range — presumed to be called the iPhone 15 — on Tuesday, September 12 in the US, which works out to be Wednesday, September 13 in Australia.
The suspected date was shared by Apple insider for publication Bloomberg, Mark Gurman, who tweeted: “Signs are increasingly pointing to Sept. 12 as the iPhone 15 event date, but obviously things can still theoretically change.”
He also wrote that he expected the products’ release date to be “around September 22”.

The iPhone 13 was announced on September 14, while the iPhone 14 was announced on September 7, so Gurman’s suspected announce date does seem to line up with previous years.
Apple publication 9to5Mac says its sources told them employees were asked not to take the day off on September 13 due to a “major smartphone announcement”, which seems rather telling. The site also believes the new phones will be available from September 22.
The most recent announcement from Apple was back in June when it unveiled its first spatial computer, Apple Vision Pro, which blends digital with reality. The device lets you use apps beyond the boundaries of a traditional display with the help of a 3D user interface controlled by a user’s eyes, hands and voice.
“Today marks the beginning of a new era for computing,” Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, said at the time. “Just as the Mac introduced us to personal computing, and iPhone introduced us to mobile computing, Apple Vision Pro introduces us to spatial computing.”
Features of the Apple Vision Pro include a Spatial FaceTime. Everyone on a FaceTime call will reflected in life-size tiles, and, with Spatial Audio, will sound as if they’re speaking from where they are positioned. Photos can also be viewed in 3D, and “Environments” will let a user’s world grow beyond the physical room.
Apple Vision Pro will start at USD$3,499, and will be available early next year. It’ll launch in the US first and then debut in more countries later in the year.
