It’s back, baby! That’s right, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is back for Season 9, and as usual, it’s already bringing the laughs and chaos we’ve come to love and expect.
After two seasons of filming in northern New South Wales due to COVID, the borders are open once again, which means I’m a Celeb is back in South Africa, and coming to us live from the jungle.
Hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown are also back, and this season, the premise is simple: make it fun, make it funny, make it a good time for all involved — well, except the celebs, maybe. Having snakes dumped on you or being challenged to ingest a warthog testicle doesn’t sound like much fun to us, to be honest, but look, they knew what they were getting themselves into, right?!
But if you’ve tuned in for all the fun and found yourself thinking “sorry, who is that?” — you’re not alone. Luckily, we’ve got all the goss on who these celebs are, what they’re known for, where you’ve seen them before, and what charity they’re competing for.
One of the celebs who’s made his way to the jungle for the chance to take out the win this season is rugby union legend and notorious former Bachelor Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins, who is competing for his own charity, The Rogue Gentlemen’s Club (RGC).

Who Is Nick Cummins?
Nick Cummins, also knowns as the Honey Badger, is a certified rugby union legend. However, if you’re less into sports and more into reality TV, it’s more likely you’ll remember him from his stint on The Bachelor. You know, the season where he… didn’t choose anyone at the end?
That’s all in the past now, of course, and these days, Nick is in a relationship with girlfriend Alexandra George. In fact, the couple welcomed their first child, son Billy George Cummins, together in October 2022.
Nick Cummins’ Rugby Career
In his rugby days, it was Nick’s skill, strength and attitude that made him one of the most respected wingers in the game. But it was Nick’s quintessentially ocker vibe, famous zingers, curly hair and permanent moustache that saw his popularity ascend, and soon, he was dubbed the Honey Badger.
Nick was always a natural athlete, and in 2012, he was selected to play for the Wallabies. In 2014, though, Nick left the Wallabies to spend two years playing for Japan. It was a difficult decision for him, but as one of eight children being raised by his father Mark, Nick couldn’t turn down the opportunity to financially support his family.
Nick Cummins’ Life After Rugby
Of course, Nick’s seen many successes over the years. On top of his rugby career, he has also published two books: Tales of The Honey Badger, and Adventures of The Honey Badger.
And while his stint on The Bachelor may not have brought him true love, it didn’t deter him from future reality TV endeavours. Since then, he’s co-hosted the Netflix series Ultimate Beastmaster, and passed the infamously difficult selection process on SAS Australia. He also wrote, produced and starred in his own digital series, Off the Grid With the Badger.
Now, Nick’s ready to take on the jungle, and of course, it’s all for a good cause.
Nick recently launched his longtime passion project, The Rogue Gentlemen’s Club (RGC). The RGC is all about mateship, mental health, and healing.
It’s about getting back to nature, escaping the daily grind, and rediscovering one’s passion, purpose and confidence in life.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs at 7.30pm, Sunday – Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
