Will Tech Whizzes Ben and Callum Claim Victory on ‘Hunted Australia’ 2023?

Hunted Australia Fugitives Ben and Callum

Hunted Australia is back for 2023, and this year, Chief David Craig says that we should expect a “showdown” between the Hunters and Fugitives. Hunted took Australia by storm when it premiered last year, and this year, our Fugitives have the benefit of having seen last year’s season. While some will surely learn from their mistakes, others won’t be so lucky. After all, the Hunters are are comprised of a team of elite experts in their fields. Will any of our Fugitives be able to evade capture for 21 days and claim their share of the $100,000 prize? Let’s find out.

Hunted Australia Cast 2023: Meet Ben and Callum

Long-time best friends Ben, 26, and Callum, 27, first met in primary school, and they’ve been in each others’ lives ever since. In fact, when they’re not on the run trying to dodge the Hunters, they live together, along with Callum’s fiancé Sarah. They even jokingly refer to Sarah as the “third wheel” in their own relationship.

Ben and Callum are from South Morang, Victoria. Ben works as an IT specialist, while Callum is a vet nurse. In their spare time, you can find these self-confessed geeks gaming together. They’re very accustomed to spending all their time together, so the thought of spending 21 days in close proximity with one another doesn’t bother them at all.

Ben and Callum’s Plan for Hunted Australia 2023

Basically? Ben is planning to hack the mainframe. Kidding, kind of. In a press statement, Ben states that his aim is to “expose data loopholes the Hunters are searching on them”. Meanwhile, Callum has a black belt in Taekwondo. It’s a skill that comes with a lot of benefits, like mental and physical strength, that will come in handy on Hunted.

Given that Ben and Callum are from Melbourne, they have the benefit of having a large network of local family and friends to call on in their hour of need. They also plan to utilise their Dungeons and Dragons online crew — their job will be to help Ben and Callum move through rural Victoria undetected. Then, the duo plan to camp and stay off the grid as much as possible.

Ben and Callum spend a lot of time playing games online, but will they be able to conquer this ultimate, IRL game of cat and mouse? Only time will tell.

Hunted Australia airs at 7.30pm, Sunday — Tuesday each week, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand. Miss an episode? Catch up on 10 Play.
