If The Chronicles of Narnia has proven anything, it’s that we all want to find our own little whimsical world in a wardrobe, but let’s face it, it’s highly unlikely. Although, House of Sunny’s showroom is as close as it gets to finding yourself lost in a waggish world of melting sunset colourways, cloud-filled heaven, and blue worlds — the truly magical stuff that needs to be seen to be believed.
Melding fashion and interior design, House of Sunny founder, Sunny Williams, is inviting guests to stay in the Hackney showroom. The showroom has been fully transformed to bring his celebrity-favourite designs from the runway to real life in celebration of fashion week.
For those who are unfamiliar, House of Sunny is TikTok’s favourite label, with celebrities including Kendall Jenner sporting the collection.
“House of Sunny’s design and ethos has always been inspired by the intersection of culture, architecture, interior and our community’s love for travel, home, and aesthetics. I am excited to welcome you to my house; this immersive Airbnb is unique, crafted and eye-catching, the perfect partnership of fashion and special stays,” said Williams in a statement.
The overnight stay in Hackney, London, will be available for two guests, taking place on September 22, 2023. The best part, it’s free. The not-so-best part, you have to be the first to book it. But we have faith.
The lucky winners will get a one-on-one design session with Sunny, as well as the chance to try on House of Sunny’s latest collection in the Wardrobe of Dreams — an ethereal and interactive space with a changing dreamscape that reflects the design of five of the designer’s freshest pieces.
The bedroom you’ll be sleeping in looks like a melting sunset. Red and orange waves surround the room, inspired by the Sundown Cardigan.
Beyond the wardrobe, guests can explore all Hackney has to offer, including dinner at one of London’s most lusted-after restaurants, a visit to the famous Columbia Road Flower Market, and brunch on the local Broadway Market.
To secure your escape to the wardrobe plucked from a Dr. Seuss world, book on Airbnb when the listing is open, which will be on September 20 at 3 a.m. (AEST). If you’re successful, you will need to make your own way to London.
For those who don’t get the opportunity to stay, Airbnb is opening up Sunny’s House on Sunday, September 17, for the public to take a peek inside.
