Home fragrances have heaps of benefits. They can overpower bad odours, help to enhance people’s moods and, in the case of calming scents like jasmine, lavender and vanilla, even work to lessen anxiety and stress. But with so many home scents on the market, it can be tricky to decide which to use.
Do you want to walk into your home and immediately feel relaxed? Or would you rather feel invigorated? Or be reminded of your favourite family holiday?
Then, there’s the format of the scent. Carina Chaz, founder of functional fragrance brand DedCool, says most people think of only one way to experience scent in the home when, in fact, there are tons of different ways to experience it.
“Laundry detergent for the bedroom and your clothes, a candle to enhance larger spaces and, last but not least, room and linen sprays and diffusers,” Chaz says. “These are some ways to really expand your everyday scent across your home.”
