Movin’ On Up! Shangela, Eureka and Bob the Drag Queen Are Coming Back to Your Screen

We're Here

If the 6,000 or so different versions of RuPaul’s Drag Race popping up all over the world still aren’t enough to satisfy the need for more drag queen content in your life, here’s some news that’ll have you hopping out of your heels.

HBO has announced We’re Here, a six-part, unscripted series starring three of Drag Race’s fave alumni.

Headed out to small town America are season eight winner Bob the Drag Queen, All Stars 3 finalist Shangela (and winner in our hearts, sorry Trixie!), and season 10 runner-up Eureka O’Hara. From there, they’ll recruit local residents across the country, give them drag makeovers, and have them participate in a one-night-only drag extravaganza.

The show, which is slated to air early next year on HBO in the US is all about “empowering local communities with the magic of drag!” wrote Shangela on Instagram, adding: “Never give up on your dreams y’all. And don’t be afraid to WERQ HARD for what u want! HALLELOO!”

Of the show, she promised: “It’s Emotional. Theatrical. Oh, it’s gonna be a SHOW!”

In a statement, Nina Rosenstein, the executive vice president of HBO programming, said: “Drag is about confidence and self expression. We are so thrilled to showcase the transformative power of the art form with our audience.”

Get ready, hennys.
