Glossier’s New Body Products Are Going to Have Your Skin Feeling Soft and Supple

The year 2020 has seen cult beauty brand Glossier release a number of eagerly awaited products including Boy Brow in Auburn — a shade just for redheads — and the much-needed Hand Cream.

Glossier has now added another two products to its lineup, which will be extremely useful in the lead-up to summer here in Australia. Introducing: the Body Hero Exfoliating Bar and Body Hero Dry-Touch Oil Mist.

Starting with the Exfoliating Bar, which is the perfect shade of millennial pink, this product is a no-mess body scrub that fits in the palm of your hand and sloughs away dead skin and dryness. While we’re big fans of a coffee scrub for this purpose, there’s no denying that it can be a messy experience.

Glossier’s Exfoliating Bar is formulated with finely milled, biodegradable bamboo powder that exfoliates your skin without removing the top layer (à la the classic walnut scrub). The addition of sunflower seed oil and aloe leaf juice helps to lock in moisture, so your skin won’t feel dry or stripped after exfoliating.

The Dry-Touch Oil Mist is the perfect follow-up product after exfoliating your skin to give your skin a boost of moisture. Formulated with antioxidant-rich oils including sunflower seed, grapeseed and oat, this dry oil nourishes, moisturises and soothes dry skin.

To really lock in hydration, spray on your skin after showering when your skin is still a little damp. The ultra-fine mist absorbs in seconds and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, which means you can get dressed straight away.

As the summer season draws closer, these two products will be ridiculously helpful in keeping your skin feeling soft and supple. The combination of makeup, sweat and sunscreen can be heavy on your skin so it’s important to exfoliate in order to slough away these products as well as dead skin.

While Glossier doesn’t ship directly to Australia, you can still get your hands on Glossier products through the Australia Post ShopMate service. Basically, you sign up to ShopMate and you’re given a ShopMate U.S address, which you pop in as the delivery address on your order. Then, your order will be delivered to the U.S warehouse and processed before being sent on to you in Australia.

While it is undoubtedly a handy service, it comes with a pretty spenny price tag. ShopMate charges a $25.25 shipping base rate per parcel plus $5.45 weight rate per 500g. A book, for example, could cost you around $35 just in shipping, so keep this in mind when placing your Glossier order as you’ll need to pay for the shipping to Australia later on.
