We know that this is such a cliché but could we be any more excited?
A Friends musical is pivoting its way to Australia.
A hit in both New York and Las Vegas, Friends! The Musical Parody is playing across the country from August, with tickets on sale from 7 February.
According to Broadway World, “It’s a seemingly typical day in New York coffee shop, Central Perk, until an unexpected runaway bride enters the picture and kicks the whole gang out of second gear!”
Oh. My. God.
The musical is set in 1990’s Manhattan, just like the beloved NBC show, and will celebrate the misadventures of “our favourite group of 20-something pals as they navigate the pitfalls of work, life and love”.
Ross, Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe will all be represented and all our favourite moments from the hit TV show will be relived in an “uncensored, fast-paced, music-filled romp”.
While we’re not quite ready to witness Ross and Rachel take a break again we really hope Monica and Chandler’s secret romance makes an appearance, because imagine a whole scene of “they don’t know that we know they know we know,” and poor Joey not being able to say a thing.
The performance is recommended for mature audiences aged 12+, so we’re sure to expect some wholesome but cheeky fun.
