Could we be any more excited to recreate Monica’s Friendsgiving spread, Ross’ ‘moist-maker’ sandwich, Joey’s meatball sub, and Rachel’s mince-infused trifle?
Okay, that last one sounds disgusting, but a true Friends fan would surely give it a run. Now, they’ll be able to with the news an official cookbook is coming, with over 90 recipes from the iconic series.
Friends the Official Cookbook, written by Amanda Nicole Yee, will be released on September 22, 2020.
According to the blurb, the recipes will be suited for chefs of all levels with moderations to each recipe, many of which directly reference scenes from the sitcom.
“Whether you’re a seasoned chef like Monica Geller, just starting a catering business like Phoebe Buffay, or a regular old food enthusiast like Joey Tribbiani, ‘Friends: The Official Cookbook‘ offers a variety of recipes for chefs of all levels.”
In addition to those mentioned above, further recipes are said to include ‘Just for Joey’ fries, Phoebe’s grandmother’s cookies, and Chandler’s “Milk You Can Chew”. No word yet on whether the sneeze-muffin and hallway cheesecake have made the cut, but surely Ross’ lethal margarita recipe would live inside the pages.
Even better, home cooks can pair recipes with episodes, so that when the time comes to enjoy the meal they had just prepared, they can pop on the series to the exact episode the food is mentioned. We’re calling it Friends-ception.
The timing of the cookbook couldn’t be more perfect with the Friends Reunion Special set to go ahead at the end of September, after being postponed.
