Farmer Wants a Wife is in full swing, and sparks are flying all over the place as we get settled in for a season of (hopefully) long-lasting love connections.
This season, we’re following Farmer Ben, 27, from Wingham, NSW, Farmer Harry, 24, from Kyabram, VIC, Farmer Will, 26, from Berriwillock, VIC, Farmer Benjamin, 33, from Guyra, NSW, and Farmer Paige — the show’s first female farmer — who’s 28 and from Cassilis, NSW.
One of the women who’s hoping to make a love connection with Farmer Harry this season is Rommi, a 24-year-old retail manager from NSW.
In a press statement, Rommi said that she applied for Farmer Wants a Wife because “to put it simply, [the] show was made for [her]”.
She explained: “My whole life I have had an unhealthy obsession for all things country. Growing up, I loved my grandparents’ farm more than anything else and I’m hoping to extend that love to a country man.”
Rommi went on to say that she’s always pictured herself “settling down on a farm with the love of [her] life”, and hopes that “this is the start of that journey” with Farmer Harry.
“Farmer Wants A Wife has always been something I’ve said I would apply for,” she added. “Being a city girl, it’s hard to meet the country man of your dreams otherwise.”

Rommi chose Farmer Harry because she thinks they would hit it off and “have a good laugh”, adding: “and I could keep him in check when he wanted to be”.
She continued: “He seems lovely and gentle, which I find endearing, and I love that he wants to learn from his partner as that’s a huge part of a relationship that I would like as well.”
When it comes to love and relationships, Rommi’s main goal in life is to find “the person who understands, loves and adores” her for her.
“He wants to be with me as much as I want to be with them through life’s adventures,” she said. “It’s everything. I want someone who is honest and good at communication and understands their own feelings as well as others.”
Will Farmer Harry be that man for Rommi? Only time will tell. Until then…
Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7.00pm on Sundays, and 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
