Exactly How to Hack Easter and Anzac Day to Get 17 Days Off

Holiday

Here at The Latch, we’re all about time off. Well, who isn’t all about time off? But for us – we really understand the importance of stepping away from work or your everyday life for a little while to come back to it with a renewed appreciation. To feel re-energised and ready to get back into it.

This is why we’re always keen on a good leave hack. A way to get more of that precious time off using the least amount of annual leave. So, naturally, we were over the moon to realise one of the biggest leave hacks of the year was coming up. It’s over the Easter holiday and Anzac Day, and, if done correctly, can see you using just eight days of leave to take a 17-day holiday.

How does it work? Well, you’ll be making the most of the last warm days by booking around three public holidays: Good Friday (Friday, April 15), Easter Monday (Monday, April 18) and Anzac Day (Monday, April 25). And, in turn, you’ll get time off from Friday, April 15 – Monday, May 2.

The exact dates to book are:

Tuesday, April 19
Wednesday, April 20
Thursday, April 21
Friday, April 22
Tuesday, April 26
Wednesday, April 27
Thursday, April 28
Friday, April 29

So, again, eight days of leave to give you 17 days off. Also worth noting, you can still get an 11-day holiday by coming back to work after Anzac Day.

And, if April and May are too soon for you to organise the time off and you’re curious about other best annual leave hacks for the rest of the year.
