Does This Clue Prove Who Wins ‘I’m a Celeb’?

Grant Denyer

It looks like TV presenter Grant Denyer will soon be able to add “King of the Jungle” to his resume, with the Gold Logie winner being a sure bet to win I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’, 2021.

As of January 12, bookmakers have Denyer pegged as the champ with Sportsbet tipping him to win at $1.91. Meanwhile, Triple M radio host Jess Eva is currently tipped at $3.75 and Australia’s sweetheart Toni Pearen at $4.50. Elsewhere, TAB have Denyer tied with Pearen at $3.00, which would seemingly make his victory a given.

According to Sportsbet’s Rich Hummerston, “Denyer won his Gold Logie without having a show and if punters have got it right, he is set to win I’m a Celebrity. Whether he is regularly fronting a camera or not, Denyer is just a popular celebrity with viewers and punters alike.”

The TV personality made headlines recently after grappling with his relationship with alcohol during an episode of the reality competition series.

“When I was doing Sunrise weather for years, the amount of times I was probably still drunk on air in the morning was too many,” he said on the episode, which aired January 5.

“I have been asking myself this question for, far out, five years? ‘Do I have a problem?’ And I think the answer is, ‘I do!.”

The father-of-two, who is expecting his third child with wife Chezzi in March, later told The Daily Telegraph that he intends to quit drinking saying, “I am not an alcoholic, I am a three-night-a-week drinker. But it is the amounts that I need to look at and I am not getting anything out of it, so that is going to be the new me in 2021.”

The former Sunrise presenter has faced difficulties in the past, quitting on-air in 2013 and spending time in a Thai health facility for exhaustion. Concerns were raised for Denyer’s health during his on-air resignation as he appeared gaunt, fidgety and distracted.
