Snoop Dogg Has Been Accused of Sexual Assault and Battery

SNOOP DOGG

In the latest edition of people disappointing us, rapper Snoop Dogg (real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr)  has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in California back in 2013.

The woman, who has so far remained anonymous, alleges that Snoop’s associate Bishop Don “Magic” Juan offered her a lift home after one of the performer’s concerts but that he instead took her to his own residence when she fell asleep in the car. The woman claims that the following morning, Juan allegedly “removed his penis from his pants and forced his penis into her mouth”.

The alleged victim has reported that later that day she was taken, by Juan, to Snoop’s studio to see if he would hire her for a role on a television show. She alleges that Snoop cornered her as she was using the toilet, forced her into oral sex and then “proceeded to masturbate and ejaculated on [the woman]’s upper chest and lower neck”.

According to the lawsuit, the woman, who is being referred to as “Jane Doe” did not get the TV job she had gone to see Snoop about due to the fact she had “refused to willingly and enthusiastically give oral sex”.

Snoop Dogg is now being sued for a violation of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, sexual battery and sexual assault, with Juan also named in the lawsuit.

In a statement made to LADBible, “Jane Doe’s” attorney, Matt Finkelberg said: “Snoop Dogg has a long history of criminal activity. Reportedly, he is an admitted former ‘Pimp’.

“Throughout his life, he reportedly publicly threatened and intimidated women including Gayle King, Iggy Azalea, another woman who accused him of rape, and most recently our client.

“We believe, trust, and stand with our client and we are confident a jury will too. We take great pride in representing our courageous and brave client who refuses to be silenced and intimidated any longer.

“Our client’s hope is to inspire other victims of sexual harassment, assault, and battery to understand that they have rights, will be protected, and although they are victims, they will not have to be silenced forever.”

Snoop nor his representatives have yet commented on the accusations.

The West Coast rapper is due to appear as one of the performers at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show on February 13, alongside fellow artists Dr Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.

The news of the lawsuit comes in the same week that Snoop Dogg finally acquired Death Row Records — the label that launched his career in the ’90s with his debut album Doggystyle. Death Row was founded in 1992 by Dr Dre, Suge Knight, the D.O.C. and Dick Griffey in the immediate aftermath of the breakup of N.W.A.

“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” the rapper said in a statement.

“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Snoop is also due to head to Australia later in 2022 for his ‘I WANNA THANK ME’ tour. The event is slated to kick off at Perth’s RAC Arena in Perth on 26 October 2022, before heading to  Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on 28 October 2022 and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 29 October before wrapping up at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 1 November 2022.
